Vehicle measurement with current clamp
The extra large diameter of the clamp allows measurements on thick cable bundles
Comparative Analysis with Simulation
Due to the extensive experience with simulations, the engineering office can model the situation to be analyzed with simulation and obtain the theoretically possible results. Conclusions can be drawn from the comparison with the real measurement results - at which points deviations are present, what is the cause and what measures are to be taken:
For example, whether the shielding effect meets the expectations - or, if the filter effect is in line with expectations - or, whether the measured noise level of a converter corresponds to the typical value of such a component and whether the noise is mainly Common Mode or Differential Mode.
This results in massive advantages over a merely measurement-based analysis.
Such comparative simulations can be successfully applied not only to single converters, but also to complex systems, consisting of several inverters and DCDC converters - or e.g. for multiphase on-board chargers - including the effects of shielding.
